Aromahead's December Newsletter:
Happy Holidays!

I'm excited for the holidays!

From Andrea

Hi friend,

Happy Holidays!

I was talking with Hemlock essential oil, and we decided to start out December’s newsletter with a list of things we’re grateful for...

  • The special people in our lives (and we wouldn’t leave out any of their quirks!)
  • Parties and magical occasions that celebrate the season
  • All the delicious food that people make around the holidays
  • Making Aromatherapy gifts for people (It feels good to bring a smile to someone’s face.)

Last but not least, Hemlock and I are grateful for YOU

You’re why we do what we do, educating people about essential oils and sharing recipes. I bet you can relate...  it’s just fun to share your love of essential oils with others, isn’t it?

This month’s newsletter will give you ideas for doing exactly that. There are recipes and links to help you set a festive holiday atmosphere, and make the perfect Aromatherapy gifts for everyone on your list. (I also made sure to include a digestion recipe, so you can enjoy all the party food without discomfort!)

This holiday season, I hope you find something to be grateful for, and something to give.

Love,
Andrea

Orange Clove Room Spray

A Recipe for You:
Orange Clove Room Spray

Do you receive my free series of Aromahead Weekly emails? Every month, I feature a different essential oil. You receive one email a week that teaches you a different way to use that oil, and includes a free recipe. It’s been a really popular series—people tell me they learn so much about the oils and feel like they really “get to know them” as friends.

This month’s featured essential oil is Clove Bud. Perfect for December! The first email of the month shared some history behind Clove Bud, and how to use it in a simple yet fabulous holiday room spray.

Orange Clove Room Spray

  • 1 oz (30 ml) water
  • 2 drops Clove Bud (Syzygium aromaticum/Eugenia caryophyllata)
  • 5 drops Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis)

Make this blend in a 1 oz (30 ml) glass bottle. Combine the water and essential oils, shake well, and spritz it around the room.

Be sure to shake it before each use, and make a fresh bottle every few weeks (since there are no preservatives in it).

If you prefer to use a solubol/dispersant in your room spray, simply add 1 ml of solubol to the blend.

I hope you’ll subscribe to Aromahead Weekly! It’s a fun, free way to expand your essential oil knowledge. Here’s where to sign up.

Orange's Spiked Belly Butter: Essential Oils for Digestion

On the Aromahead Blog:
Orange's Spiked Belly Butter - Essential Oils for Digestion

I overheard Orange and Roman Chamomile essential oils having a conversation about the holiday season.

They were both excited, but Roman Chamomile had some reservations, too.

It likes to stay relaxed, and the holidays are a busy time of year.

Roman Chamomile: There is so much to do... parties to plan, food to make, traveling, gifts to buy, reaching out to friends and family you haven’t seen in a while, and there is still the regular daily schedule to keep up with...

Orange: I love all of that stuff! It reminds me to celebrate the special things that make life so wonderful.
